The voluntary insurance of the VBL is under the supervision of BaFin (the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority).
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) oversees certain sections of the compulsory insurance scheme, which also include the processing of complaints and petitions by insured members.
